The Human Insight Summit (THiS) is UserTesting’s annual, in-person customer conference dedicated to helping companies make sense of the changing world around them, by showing and sharing, first-hand, the possibilities of using human insight across the business.

What can I expect from attending THiS?

At THiS, presentations, workshops and panel discussions will center on innovation, continuous learning, and digital experiences. These sessions will be led by subject matter experts at UserTesting as well as by leaders and practitioners at some of the most innovative organizations from around the world. 

Our goal is to provide attendees with tangible advice to help them capture human insight and understand changing buyer needs in rich detail—so that they can deliver exceptional and differentiated experiences for their customers.

Do I need to be a UserTesting customer to attend THiS?

No, you do not need to be a current UserTesting customer to attend THiS. The agenda is carefully crafted to include something for everyone. Presentations, workshops and panel discussions will center on innovation, continuous learning, and digital experiences. Sessions will be led by subject matter experts at UserTesting as well as by leaders and practitioners at some of the most innovative companies in the world

When and where is THiS 2023?

THiS 2023 takes place Monday, August, 28th - Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 and is being held in Seattle, WA at the Hyatt Regency, 808 Howell St, Seattle, WA 98101

How do I register for THiS?

Registration is required to attend THiS. You can register online or by reaching out to your UserTesting account or renewal representative.

How much does it cost to attend THiS 2023?

Do you offer a group discount?

Yes! We highly recommend bringing your team to THiS. Attend sessions as a team or divide and conquer to make the most of your experience and take advantage of all there is to offer at THiS. Group discounts are available for 2 or more tickets.

• Groups of 2-4 attendees will receive a 25% discount on each ticket based on the tier pricing at time of purchase. Must purchase tickets in the same order.
• Groups of 5-10 attendees will receive a 30% discount on each ticket  based on the tier pricing at time of purchase. Must purchase tickets in the same order.
• Groups of 10 or more attendees will receive a 35% discount on each ticket  based on the tier pricing at time of purchase. Must purchase tickets in the same order.

Please note, all tickets must be purchased at the same time to be eligible for the discounted rate.

What’s included in the Full Conference Pass registration fee?

All content, networking, food, and entertainment activities from the evening of Monday, August 28th through Wednesday, August 30th are included in your event registration. The registration fee does not include hotel accommodations and/or transportation.

When does registration close?

Registration for THiS 2023 will close on August 28th, 2023 (earlier if the event sells out).  We recommend registering as soon as possible as the event has historically sold out!

Will I receive a registration confirmation email after registering?

What are the Terms and Conditions for attending THiS 2022?

Our Terms and Conditions can be found here. All THIS registrants are required to agree to these terms to participate in the event.

Can I get a refund on my event registration? Can I transfer it to someone else?

Once an individual completes registration, they cannot cancel or receive a refund for The Human Insight Summit (THiS) 2023 event. However, they may transfer their registration in one of two ways:

• Transfer it to another colleague within their organization; or 
• Apply their ticket registration toward registration for next year's The Human Insight Summit 2024 conference.

To transfer registration, send an email to events@usertesting.com by 11:59pm (EST), August 15, 2023. Please note, sharing event badges is not permitted at any time — badges are issued to, can be picked up by, and can be used by only the person named in the registration.

What happens to my registration fee if UserTesting has to cancel the event?

If UserTesting must cancel The Human Insight Summit 2023 conference, all tickets that have been sold will be transferred to the following year's The Human Insight Summit 2024 conference.

What are UserTesting University Live workshops?

University Live Workshops are immersive, interactive learning experiences held during THiS where participants learn directly from UserTesting product experts on how to get the most out of the platform. 

Several different workshops are available in 2023 that will teach attendees things like which research they should plan, how to gather insights, and why qualitative feedback can be so powerful for product design and development efforts.

If you are Interested in attending more than one workshop, we highly recommend bringing your team to divide and conquer.

Will the University Live Workshops be available to view on-demand after the event?

Unfortunately, no. Workshops are immersive, interactive learning experiences for attendees to engage with product experts and other attendees, and learn hands-on how to get the most out of our platform.

Is there a mobile app?

A mobile app will be available for download closer to the event start date. You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to download and access the mobile app on Android and Apple devices. The app will feature the full event agenda, an interactive agenda builder to personalize your THiS journey, venue map, networking opportunities, details about evening events, and much more.

What’s the dress code for the conference?

Business-casual is appropriate for all functions at THiS 2023.

Which meals will be provided?

A Full Conference Pass to THiS includes all meals starting the evening of Monday, August 28th until the closing reception on Wednesday, August 30th. This includes the welcome reception on Monday, August 28th, and breakfast, lunch, snack breaks, and receptions on Tuesday, August 29th and Wednesday, August 30th.

I have special dietary restrictions — how can I notify you?

During registration, you will be prompted to list any dietary restrictions. If you have additional needs or on-site assistance requests, please email events@usertesting.com.

Is the conference venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. If you need assistance at the event, please email events@usertesting.com in advance of the event and we will do our best to accommodate. 

Are speaking opportunities available at THiS?

Interested in speaking at THiS? Please complete the Call for Speakers form to be considered for a speaking opportunity. The Call for Speakers closes March 24th. If your submission is selected, a member of the THiS content team will contact you to discuss next steps. Speaking opportunities are open only to brands. Do I need my ID to check in at registration?

Yes, you will need a photo ID to check in at registration and receive your conference badge.

When and where can I check in at the event?

Onsite check-in is available on level 7 of the Hyatt Regency during the below hours:

• Monday, August 28 — 3:00pm-7:00pm 
• Tuesday, August 29 — 7:30am-6:00pm 
• Wednesday, August 30 — 8:00am-3:30pm

Will you provide conference badges?

Yes. To ensure the privacy and safety of our attendees, we will provide each attendee with a conference badge that grants them access to THiS conference-level floors and evening activities.

I purchased a Digital Access Pass, how do I dial-in to the virtual event?

The virtual event will stream live via Goldcast. No prior download or set-up is required. As we get closer to the event you will receive a “magic link” to access the virtual event. The magic link provides access to August 29 and August 30 mainstage, keynote sessions. The link is personal to you, please do not share it.

Is there a discounted room rate for THiS attendees?

We have a limited number of rooms reserved at the Hyatt Regency for THiS attendees. To make your reservation simply reserve online here. We highly recommend reserving your room as soon as you register. The room block will close 11:59pm (EST), August 2 or once sold out, whichever comes first.

Does the hotel have rooms available for the nights before and/or after the conference dates?

You can receive the special room rate we’ve negotiated for THiS attendees for any night between Saturday, August 26 - Thursday, August 31, 2023. The discounted rate is subject to availability.

How do I change or cancel my hotel reservation?

You will receive a hotel confirmation link via email once you complete your hotel booking. Please make all changes through the hotel confirmation link provided or by calling the hotel directly at 1-206-973- 1234.

What happens if I don't check in on my scheduled arrival date?

Your reservation will go into a ‘No Show’ status, and the hotel will release your reservation. You will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s room fee and tax.

Which airport should I fly into?

The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which is about 20 minutes away from the Hyatt Regency Seattle (event venue).

Will sessions be available to watch after the event?

Select presentations will be available to watch on-demand after the event.

Will the University Live Workshops be available to view on-demand after the event?

Unfortunately, no. University Live workshops are immersive, interactive learning experiences for attendees to engage with product experts and other attendees, and learn hands-on how to get the most out of our platform.
